Meet the Instructor
Suhyun is the owner and lead instructor at S Pilates Studio in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a Balanced Body Comprehensive Certified Pilates Teacher and a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). Since beginning her teaching career in 2021, Suhyun has guided clients with a deep commitment to safe, personalized, and effective movement. She also offers sessions in the GYROTONIC® Method (Apprentice Stage), training under official guidelines to introduce this dynamic and restorative movement system to her clients.
Suhyun’s teaching blends years of personal movement practice with extensive formal training. Her sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs, whether the goal is building strength, improving flexibility, restoring balance, or enhancing overall well-being. She emphasizes proper alignment, mindful breathing, and gradual progression—helping clients move with confidence both inside and outside the studio.
Her approach is supportive yet detail-oriented. She believes that movement is not just about physical exercise but also about cultivating body awareness and empowering clients to understand their own capabilities. This means creating a space where clients feel both challenged and cared for, whether they are new to Pilates or seasoned practitioners.
Originally from South Korea, Suhyun has lived in Honolulu for over 13 years and teaches in both English and Korean, welcoming a diverse community of clients. She takes pride in making each session a positive, engaging experience that supports long-term health and vitality.
